Dear Moderator, This blog belongs to
Michael Rowell and I worked with Josh Howie and John Pattinson. We were asked
to create a two minute opening sequence to a film noir film including titles.
Use the tabs across the top of the blog to see my research, planning,
construction and evaluation. We took about 3-4 months to create our Sequence and we hope you Enjoy it!

Film Poster
I made a poster for our film using Photoshop CS. I used some images from google images for the red silhouette characters, and got the 18 certificate of another film poster. This film poster relates to our film, as the colours used in it can be associated with Film Noir.

Two Red Dollar Script
Two Red Dollars Script and Stage Notes
Characters and actors
Tommy played by Joshua Howie
The character has heavy arms, easily angered, from a poor background. He sees crime as his only option and is easily led astray.
Joe played by John Pattinson
The character is flash and from a better background. Has ambitions to be higher up in the system. Sly and cunning.
Would rather avoid a fight. Pragmatic. The Rat played by Michael Rowell Evil and has no morals. Selfish, lacks altruism. Violent and bad tempered.
Conversation with The Rat.
Voiceover describing why he had to be killed. Shot of us walking away.
Scene 1
Joe: You got yourself a new broad Tommy?
Tommy: I’m just playing the field. Joe: regular little Joey DiMaggio over here. (to The Rat)
The Rat: (nods and smiles nervously)
Tommy: You know me hitting home runs every week.
Joe: you keep lying like that someone’s gunna put a hit out on you.
(Tommy and Joe laugh, the rat joins in but still looks nervous)
The Rat: They should be here by now.
Joe: Traffic was backed up on the interstate they should be running late anyways.
Tommy: Yeah Guidos are unreliable, just ask them for their papers then they’ll hurry the f**k up.
The Rat: I guess so. (still looks nervous and unconvinced)
The Rat starts walking down the alley way, slowly quickening his pace.
Gunshot rings out as smoke passes over shot. Cross cut between Tommy and Joe walking away, and a pan down the fence to the corpse of The Rat.
Voiceover kicks in once smoke clears:
(Tommy) It had to be done. Time is money, for us foot soldiers, we’re just swept under the table.
(Joe) Make one thing clear... you don’t f**k with the Mob. He knew what he was doing the filthy rat. It’s just business, it’s always just business.
